2009

I have had an amazing year. There has been a wedding, a birth, family moving home, and my sixtieth birthday, which in it's self was full of surprises. Sarah and Adam where married in April at Chesterfield and we had a lovely weekend staying at the hotel where the reception was held so I had breakfast with my daughter and new son-in-law.

My 60th birthday in July was full of surprises from beginning to end, I have a very thoughtful and secretive family. They started the day by bringing me a custom made trolley full of gifts, sixty in all and most of them related in some way to memories with cryptic clues attached. Apparently it had taken quite a few months to organise all these things so there had been much to and froing from house to house and keeping watch to make sure I didn't turn up unannounced.

We had wonderful party in the evening with family and friends, we played pass the parcel etc it was such fun. Mark and Adam (two of my son-in-laws) played their guitars and sang for, the whole day and evening was one that I shall hopefully always remember.

Then in August my grandson arrived, Noah Adam was born to Sarah and Adam and is a most beautiful boy who just keeps growing upwards at five months old he is two foot two so it looks like he may take after his daddy as he is six foot three!!!

I have been very blessed this past year and I know that the Lord who was with me in all these good times is with me in whatever 2010 may hold good or bad.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
