What is a Christian?

In faith, a believer.

"He that believeth shall be saved." 

Mark 16:16

In knowledge, a disciple.

"If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed." 

John 8:31

In character, a saint.

"Beloved of God, called to be saints."

 Romans 1:7

In influence a light.

"Ye are the light of the world." 

Matthew 5:14

In communion, a friend.

"Henceforth I call you not servants....

but I  have called you friends." 

John 15:15

In progress, a pilgrim.

These all 

"confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth." 

Hebrews 11:13

In relationship, a child.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, 

that we are the children of God." 

Romans 8:16

In expectation, an heir.

"And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, 

and joint heirs with Christ."

There is no other way to be a Christian than to repent of your sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and turn away from your old life and walk in newness of life in Jesus. You will find all you need to know in the Holy Bible and if you prayerfully ask God to reveal all you need to know; He will reveal all you need for your new life by His Holy Spirit who will lead you in all the truth of God’s word. 

You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;  but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
