Tuesday Magic

I went along to the lunch club at St Mary's church, Eastwood today, as usual the dinner was scrumptious, not forgetting the lovely pineapple sponge pudding. We sang a couple of songs one being, Rejoice in the Lord always, which we sang in a round it was lovely and I wished I'd have filmed it so that I could share it with you, but there we are we think of theses things after the event.

Don Chambers a magician, who used to teach my friend Linda and I at school in erm...... more years than I care to remember showed us some magic tricks with rope, after each trick he asked:
Is it a miracle?........no
Is it possible?..........yes
Is it an illusion?.......yes

Linda learns a magic trick

He told us how he had seen a sign in a magic shop that said "The impossible we can do straight away, miracles take a little longer!" But as he reminded us it is with God that all things are possible. He spoke of the up and coming anniversary of the D Day landings in Normandy on June 6th 1944, which was the biggest seaborne invasion and the greatest military campaign the world has seen, was that possible?...Yes, he told us the stories of the thousands of Jewish children that were rescued was that possible?....Yes. He spoke of the state of the world and how there are so many evil things happening in places like Nigeria and Syria, is it possible that these things can get sorted out?....Yes. How and by whom?
Governments?........No,
The UN?.................No,
European Union?....No,
United Nations?......No,
The World Bank?...No.

How then and by whom can man's problems be solved? There is only one way and that is through Jesus Christ, He is the only one who can change the heart of man and unless the hearts of men are changed then the world won't change. Jesus came for all men and is willing to accept any who come to Him in repentance and ask Him into their lives.

There was much more to Don's message but the message was clear. Is it possible I can change?....Yes, through Jesus the Son of God and the King of kings.

1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

Is it possible you can change?....Yes, If you confess your sin, repent of your sin, and ask Jesus into your heart and life then He will forgive you and come into your life and make you new.

After the lunch club I went to the Salvation Army at Ripley and had a wonderful time of fellowship, which you can find out about here, Getting to Know You
